Antique Japanese Court Musician Hina Doll
This Japanese antique court musician hina ningyo doll dressed in a kimono with an orange floral pattern is the perfect addition to any existing hina set or adds gorgeous Eastern flair to any home decor. This doll is one of five court musician dolls called goninbayashi. He initially had a fan, but it's missing. This doll's head and hands are wood covered with gofun. The head is removable. The hat is also missing.
The Hinamatsuri (Doll's Festival) in Japan is a traditional event celebrated on March 3rd every year. Its purpose is primarily to wish for the healthy growth and happiness of girls. Hina dolls are an essential part of the festival and are prominently displayed in homes during it.
